Cushman Creative Wins Two AVA Digital Design Awards for Its Motion Graphics and New Podcast Supporting Trapelo.™

By Karan Cushman, February 28, 2019

Launched in Dec 2018, The Precision Medicine Podcast features guests from the frontlines of oncology care and innovation in hopes of giving patients the best chance at beating cancer.

Port Clyde, Maine – February 28, 2019 – Cushman Creative, a design agency specializing in health science marketing, today announced it earned a Platinum and Gold AVA Digital Award for excellence in digital creativity, branding, and strategy.

The first award is a platinum for the agency’s “Trapelo™ Knows” video (below), created for client Intervention Insights. Cushman Creative’s work showcases how the company’s decision-making technology, Trapelo, helps oncologists, lab directors, and payers manage the fastest growing, most exciting, and most costly factor in the future of cancer care—the use of precision medicine. This is the second platinum award Cushman Creative has received for Trapelo’s motion graphics.

Cushman Creative also took a gold award for helping create “The Precision Medicine Podcast,” sponsored by Trapelo, which features clinical conversations with expert guests about the effective use of precision medicine for cancer care. To date, topics have covered everything from patient advocacy to the barrier of reimbursement.

“We are incredibly proud of the early impact the podcast is having. It’s exciting to see the number of precision medicine champions who are joining the conversation to help speed innovation in practice,” says Karan Cushman, CEO, Cushman Creative.” Our hope is to bring together those on the frontlines of precision medicine to discuss the challenges, and as with the Trapelo technology, support oncology stakeholders in giving patients the best chance at beating cancer. The podcast has been an effective tactic at building awareness for this new technology that is competing with giants in a cluttered space.”

Episode 8 of the podcast illustrates the power of the platform. In it a journalist and cancer survivor turned patient advocate discusses barriers to precision medicine and what the medical community must do to bring it more in line with the experiences of cancer patients. Many of the issues raised are also addressed by Trapelo technology, ensuring the content is timely and relevant to the marketing goal.

Jerome Madison, Vice President of Provider Relations at Trapelo and one of the hosts of The Precision Medicine Podcast says, “Trapelo helps everyone in cancer care work together to stay current, be more transparent, and give patients the most appropriate treatment options more quickly. Our podcast reflects that mission by leveraging the insight of experts and advocates of personalized medicine.”

AVA Digital Awards is an international competition that recognizes excellence by creative professionals responsible for the planning, concept, direction, design, and production of digital communication. Work ranges from digital campaigns to audio and video production to website development, social media and mobile marketing.
